XPO Appoints Chief HR Officer from Search by Hanold Associates

XPO

XPO, a top global provider of transportation services, has appointed Carolyn Roach as Chief HR Officer. Hanold Associates’ Lisa Yae, Sarah Kennedy and Meg McElroy led the Greenwich, Connecticut-based search.

In March of 2022, XPO announced the creation of a new, publicly traded company (SpinCo) from its brokered transportation services, transforming the remaining company (RemainCo), into a pure-play LTL truckload company with ~$4B in revenue. Following the completion of the spinoff, as Chief HR Officer, Carolyn will focus on increasing productivity and driving engagement across the company’s workforce. Additionally, Carolyn will serve as a senior strategic leader and continue to shape an organizational culture throughout XPO that is customer-focused and encourages accountability. Prior to joining XPO, Carolyn served as Vice President, Global Talent Management and DE&I at JELD-WEN, Inc.

XPO has a highly integrated network of people, technology and physical assets that it uses to help customers manage their goods efficiently throughout their supply chains. The company’s global network serves 50,000 shippers worldwide, with 771 locations and approximately 42,000 employees. The company had previously spun off its logistics segment in 2021, which became GXO, and made the decision to spin off its brokered transportation services business in March of 2022. RemainCo will have approximately 22,000 employees, the majority of which are field employees made up of drivers and dock workers, dispersed across 290 hubs. The company is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut.
