Vacasa Appoints Chief People Officer

Vacasa has appointed Tawanda Starms as Chief People Officer. Hanold Associates’ Mayank Parikh, Jordan Blackmon and Eleanor Tetreault led the search.

As Chief People Officer, Tawanda will evaluate the overall talent strategy of the organization and focus on improving performance by developing a proactive, data-oriented HR function that is a true strategic partner to the business. Tawanda will be a thought leader who will contribute to the company’s work strategy focused on creating employer branding, improving engagement and culture and be a proactive, vocal DE&I champion to ensure diversity and inclusion are built in. In this role, Tawanda will report to CEO Rob Greyber and will lead the existing people organization. Prior to joining Vacasa, Tawanda served as Vice President, People Experience and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at Chipotle Mexican Grill.
