The Chicago Cubs Retains Hanold Associates for Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Chicago Cubs have retained Hanold Associates for its Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion search. Hanold Associates’ Sonia Nagra and Katrina Maione will lead the search for this role.

One of the most iconic teams in professional sports, the Chicago Cubs are a professional baseball team that competes in Major League Baseball’s National League Central division. Established in 1871, the Chicago Cubs have been a charter member of MLB’s National League since 1876 and has won the National League pennant 17 times. The historic Wrigley Field has been the home for the Chicago Cubs since 1914, and the team employs ~1,500 game day associates, most of whom are seasonal, and nearly 500 in the front office.

The Cubs have developed a Five-Pillar philosophy to advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) within the organization. The organization is hiring a Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to embed DE&I into the culture of the Cubs organization through their Five-Pillar philosophy and lead all DE&I initiatives. This leader will report to Senior Vice President, Human Resources Sara Schultz and be based in Chicago, Illinois.
