Sonos Appoints Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer from Search by Hanold Associates

Sonos has appointed Shamayne Braman as Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer. Hanold Associates’ Jason Hanold, Val Lopez and Ivy Arlia led the search for this remote role for this Santa Barbara, CA based company.

Sonos is the world’s leading sound experience company, with innovative products that help the world listen better by giving people access to the content they love and allowing them to control it however they choose.  Sonos brings better ways to listen to music, podcasts or TV to more than 12.6 million homes around the world. In FY21′, the company reported $1.717 billion in revenue and has been traded on the NASDAQ as SONO since August of 2018, where it currently has a market cap of more than $4 billion. The company consists of 1,500+ employees around the world, expanding from its headquarters in California.

Shamayne was previously Director, Diversity and Inclusion at Target Corporation where she was responsible for driving organizational strategies that advanced Target’s DEI priorities and goals across stores, global supply chain and headquarters. Joining Sonos as the Chief DEI Officer, Shamayne will report directly to CEO Patrick Spence and serve as a part of the Executive Leadership Team. In this role, Shamayne will oversee global DEI strategy for the organization focused on workforce diversity,  equitable and inclusive workplace culture, and leveraging inclusivity to fuel business outcomes across product, market, and social responsibility.
