Ports America, the largest terminal operator and stevedore in the US, has appointed Mona Mounts as Senior Vice President, Human Resources. Hanold Associates’ Sarah Kennedy and Adam Watson lead the search for this role.
Mona previously served as Chief Human Resources at CJ Logistics America. Joining Ports America as SVP, HR, Mona will lead and shape the HR function and company culture while serving as an advisor to the Senior Leadership Team. In this role, Mona will report to CEO Mark Montgomery while leading a team of 12 in human resources.
Ports America manages all types of stevedoring, terminal services and cargo, with services including container, bulk, breakbulk and project cargo, world-class cruise terminals, intermodal facilities and quality roll-on/roll-off operations. Headquartered in New Jersey with additional offices located in Arizona, the company has 750 full-time employees with frontline supervisors leading ~10,000 union workers daily. Operating in more than 33 ports and 70 locations across the United States, the company had $1.3 billion in revenue in 2019, with record breaking revenues the following year.
