M2GEN Appoints Chief People Officer from Search by Hanold Associates

M2GEN, a health informatics solutions company, has appointed May Yoon as Chief People Officer. Hanold Associates’ Lisa Butkus and Katrina Maione led the search for this critical role.

May previously served as the Chief People Officer at AGIO. Joining M2GEN as Chief People Officer, May will report to M2GEN’s CEO Jim Gabriele and lead the company’s people function. With recent investment from the Private Equity partners at CD&R in 2021, the company is undergoing growth and transformation which will allow them to expand their scope for additional cancer research and treatment. To support this growth, May will build out the people function and help to shape the company’s future culture while serving as an executive coach and leadership advisor.

M2GEN runs one of the world’s largest observational research studies in cancer, which tracks patients throughout their lifetime, linking longitudinal clinical data with molecular information to enable a deeper understanding of a patient’s disease. M2GEN’s data platform, Total Cancer Care (TCC), allows patients to consent to donating their clinical data and tissue for others to learn about their experiences and develop evidence-based approaches to meet their needs. Established in 2006, M2GEN has more than 50 employees, with over 300,00 TCC patients across its alliance of leading cancer research centers, known as the Oncology Research Information Exchange Network (ORIEN).
