Lightmatter, the photonic (super) computing company, has named Angela Bertolini as Head of Talent Acquisition. Hanold Associates’ Ashley Schiele, Sarah Kennedy and Mayank Parikh led the search for this San Francisco Bay area based role.
Lightmatter is a photonic computer company, redefining what computers and human beings are capable of. The company’s new processor and interconnect use photons instead of electrons, making them faster, more efficient and cooler than anything previously created. These advancements will build the engines that will power discoveries and drive progress in a more sustainable way. Founded and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, the company is also opening an additional office in California’s Bay area to be closer to top tech talent. Lightmatter has grown to more than 70 employees, raising more than $33 million in funding from backers like Google Ventures, Matrix Partners and Spark Capital.
Angela was previously a Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition at Ingram Micro. Stepping into role at Lightmatter, Angela will report directly to COO and co-founder Thomas Graham, working to develop a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy as the company prepares to double in size and bring its products to market for the first time.
