Scholar Rock, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has appointed Caryn Parlavecchio as Chief Human Resources Officer. Hanold Associates’ Jason Hanold, Mayank Parikh and Katrina Maione led the search for this role based in Massachusetts.

Headquartered outside of Boston in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Scholar Rock has a growing team of 120 employees that focus on discovering the development of innovative medicines for serious diseases. The company’s treatments support conditions such as neuromuscular disorders, cancer, fibrosis and anemia. The company has been publicly traded on the NASDAQ since May 2018 with the ticker SRRK and currently holds a market cap of $1.8 billion. With the announcement of the encouraging results of apitegromab, a treatment to improve muscle strength and motor function in patients with spinal muscular atrophy, Scholar Rock raised an additional $230 million through an equity offering, ensuring that the company is well-funded to continue development of its products into 2023.
