Kensing, a specialty chemical company recently carved out by One Rock Capital, has appointed Ravi Gopalan as Chief HR Officer. Hanold Associates‘ Partners Sandra Peña and Katrina Prospero led the search for this Chicago-area role.
Kensing was founded in 2021, after One Rock Capital purchased a Kankakee, Illinois manufacturing plant from BASF. This plant manufactures sulfates, specialty esters, natural vitamin E and sterols designed to enhance products for a variety of markets and applications.
Previously, Ravi served as the Head of Human Resources for the Welding Segment of Illinois Tool Works. In his new role as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Ravi will partner with leaders to build a standalone company enabled by a high performing HR team.
