JustFoodForDogs tapped Hanold Associates for their Chief People Officer search. Katie Traines and Katie Wolf lead the search for the role based in Los Angeles, California.
JustFoodForDogs is the world’s first dog kitchen with the single objective of increasing the quality and length of life for as many dogs as possible through a balanced, whole food diet.
Shawn Buckley founded the company to produce healthy, whole food for dogs based on the pillars of truth, honesty, reason and fact. JustFoodForDogs believes the food you put in your pet’s body, more than anything else, will determine his future health, happiness, energy level and perhaps even his vet bills.
At JustFoodForDogs, they have three areas of focus:
- Daily food for healthy dogs and cats
- Veterinary diets for dogs and cats with specific illnesses
- Custom formulations for sick dogs and cats
With a team of boarded specialists in veterinary medicine and research on staff, every recipe is made in small batches and includes meats, whole grains and vegetables. All ingredients are 100% certified for human consumption by the USDA. In order to maximize the nutritional value, the food is cooked minimally in one of the four kitchens: Newport Beach, West Hollywood, Sherman Oaks and Manhattan Beach, California. JustFoodForDogs food is also available in their Pantry locations: Capistrano Beach, Downtown Los Angeles, Anaheim Hills and Long Beach, California.
Reporting to the CEO and leading the Human Resources function, the Chief People Officer will be responsible for developing and leading the People strategy during a period of rapid national expansion while cultivating the unique mission and core values of JustFoodForDogs throughout the employee life cycle.
The Chief People Officer will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing key human resources initiatives that will substantially enhance the success of the JustFoodForDogs business. They will also be a cultural ambassador and are responsible for championing and evolving an already strong and vibrant culture.
