Butterfly Network, whose mission is to democratize healthcare around the world, has appointed Tim Trodden as its Chief People Officer. Hanold Associates’ Partners Lisa Butkus, Ashley Schiele and Jason Hanold led the search for this Boston-based role.

Butterfly Network reinvented ultrasound technology by creating the world’s first handheld ultrasound system: Butterfly iQ. The company has grown to 275 employees and plans to double in 18 months. Butterfly went public on the New York Stock Exchange as BFLY after completing its $1.5 billion deal with Longview Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company created by Glenview Capital.

Trodden recently served as EVP and Chief HR Officer for Wellcare Health Plans, Inc. At Butterfly he will establish and drive the HR strategy through this phase of rapid growth. Reporting to CEO Todd Fruchterman, he will lead the ongoing evolution of Butterfly’s people-first culture as the company scales.
