Global Payments has appointed George Smith as Senior Vice President (SVP), Total Rewards. Hanold Associates’ Sandra Peña, Maisha Pearson and Eleanor Tetreault led the search.
Global Payments is transforming and aligning to the technology industry by creating software that supports businesses with innovative solutions for back-office functions. To enable this transition, as SVP, Total Rewards, George will be responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and management of global compensation, rewards and recognition programs; global benefits; and employee services programs. George will report directly to Executive Senior Vice President and Chief HR Officer, Andréa Carter, and serve as a member of the HR leadership team. Prior to joining Global Payments, George served as Vice President, Total Rewards, HR Technology and HR M&A at Verisk.
