Hanna Andersson

Hanold Associates recruited Wayne Young as Chief Human Resources Officer for Hanna Andersson, which is headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1983 by Swedish-born Gun Denhart, Hanna Andersson is a premium children’s apparel and lifestyle brand. In an era when most clothes were created with polyester and synthetic fabrics, Hanna Andersson set out to make clothing that was kid-approved for comfort and mother-approved for quality. Hanna Anderson has become one of the fastest growing premium brands in the children’s specialty apparel category. Through its catalog business, e-commerce platform and retail/outlet stores, the company has been generating double-digit annual revenue growth since 2010. Hanna Andersson has over 70 retail locations and more than 1,000 employees. The company has a strong online presence, with approximately half the company’s revenues coming from e-commerce. In August 2016, Hanna Andersson was acquired by L Catterton.

Mr. Young started with Hanna Andersson in March 2017 where he reports to Chief Executive Officer, Adam Stone. As chief human resources officer, Mr. Young is responsible for the people strategy and vision while driving enhanced levels of employee engagement across the organization. His main focus is to maintain and champion Hanna Andersson’s rich history and culture, as well as to elevate and develop existing talent and enhance operational capabilities.

“Wayne is incredibly personable, engaging and thoughtful. He is the perfect fit for Hanna Andersson’s culture. I look forward to watching the brand grow under his leadership,” said Keri Gavin, a partner at Hanold Associates, who led the search.
