UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement have appointed Mellany Schumacher as Director of HR Operations. Hanold Associates’ Ashley Schiele and Adam Watson led this Northbrook, Illinois-based search.
As Director of HR Operations, Mellany will lead the organization’s total rewards function, overseeing compensation, benefits, HRIS, and compliance. Mellany’s primary responsibility coming into the organization will be implementing a new HRIS to prepare the organization for growth. In this newly created role, Mellany will report to Vice President and Head of HR, Ronaldo Borger, and partner closely with the HR leadership team. Prior to joining UL, Mellany served as HR Operations Manager at M. Holland Company.
