Jessica Horton

Associate at Hanold Associates

Jessica is an Associate at Hanold Associates where she focuses on recruiting Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion leaders across multiple industries and functions.

Prior to joining Hanold Associates, Jessica worked in Human Resources and focused on Learning and Development at Phillips & Cohen Associates where she incorporated adult learning theory into onboarding and training processes. She was instrumental in the launch of a new learning management system. Previously, she had a strong focus in higher education in progressive leadership roles in donor relations, risk management and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at Dillard University, St. Norbert College and Marietta College.

Jessica graduated from Delaware State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Special Education. Jessica served as in intern for U.S. Senator Edward E. Kaufman’s Wilmington office, was the student government president and president and charter member of Delaware’s Best Buddies International chapter. Upon graduation, she taught first grade at Frederick Douglass Elementary School in Seaford, Delaware, and earned a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethune-Cookman University.

Jessica lives in Chicago and is passionate about mental health advocacy. She enjoys volunteering her time to the various initiatives of her sorority Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., live shows, working out, traveling and playing with her rescue pup, Sir Duke, who is named after the classic song by Stevie Wonder.
