Scandinavian Tobacco Group, a global manufacturer of cigars and traditional pipe tobacco, has appointed Ian Breslin as Head of HR – North America. Hanold Associates’ Ashley Schiele and Kile Hanold led the search for this role based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Scandinavian Tobacco Group owns more than 200 brands, such as Macanudo and Captain Black, and 14 manufacturing sites worldwide. Products are sold in more than 100 countries via supermarkets, drugstores, and wholesalers. In addition, the company has acquired popular online retailers and opened physical locations to reach consumers in new ways. Headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, the company has more than 11,000 employees globally and had revenues of DKK 8,006 million ($1.28B) in 2020.
Ian was previously a Director of Human Resources for Mergers and Acquisitions at Rentokil North America, creating HR structure and processes for M&A activity. At Scandinavian Tobacco Group, Ian will report to the Global Chief Human Resources Officer and lead a team of HR professionals to oversee all HR operations for this region. Ian will support nearly 800 employees as the company strives to grow rapidly in the US market.
