Sagent Pharmaceuticals has appointed Kara Hoehn as Senior Human Resources Manager based in the Chicago area. Hanold Associates’ Sandra Peña and Sonia Nagra led the search.
Kara Hoehn comes to Sagent from Life Spine, Inc. where she held various recruiting leadership positions. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources for Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Wanda McKenny, Ms. Hoehn will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. She will work to develop and implement best-in-class HR policies and processes, drive a culture of excellence and improve all aspects of people management throughout the Sagent organization.

Sagent Pharmaceuticals is one of the fastest growing providers of specialty generic pharmaceuticals in the US market. The company develops, manufactures, sources and markets approximately 60 essential specialty injectable products across multiple categories, including anti-infective, oncology and critical care.
The company was founded in 2006 and released its first injectable product in 2007. After being publicly traded from 2011 to 2016, all outstanding stock in Sagent was acquired by Nichi-Iko Pharmaceuticals, a top Japanese generic pharmaceutical company of which Sagent is now a wholly owned subsidiary. Sagent is headquartered in Schaumburg, Illinois, and has created a global network, including maintaining manufacturing facilities throughout the US and Canada. The company has acquired whole facilities and controlling stakes in several others in Raleigh, North Carolina; upstate New York; and Montreal, Canada, to grow its product portfolio and expand internal manufacturing capabilities. Across all facilities, Sagent employs approximately 600 people.
