Robertshaw Appoints Chief HR Officer from Search by Hanold Associates

Robertshaw, an engineering and manufacturing company backed by PE firm One Rock Capital Partners, has appointed Mike Petrak as Chief HR Officer. Hanold Associates’ Katrina Maione and Sonia Nagra led this Itasca, Illinois-based search.

As Chief HR Officer, Mike will focus on redesigning the existing strategies for talent acquisition, learning and development, retention, talent management and total rewards. Mike will build and implement a sustainable HR strategy that supports and contributes to Robertshaw’s long-term growth objectives. In this role, Mike will report to CEO John Hewitt and lead a team of regional leaders in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining Robertshaw, Mike served as a Chief HR Officer at Centerline Communications.

Robertshaw is a global design, engineering and manufacturing company that sells components and systems solutions to residential white goods, commercial appliances, HVAC and transportation industries. Today, the company designs and manufactures critical components and control systems for cooking, laundry, dishwashing, heating, refrigeration and transportation products. Robertshaw operates globally and has 12 plants and three engineering centers across 14 different countries. These facilities are managed from the company’s headquarters near Chicago in Itasca, Illinois. The company has a global head count of more than 6,300 employees.

In 2018, One Rock Capital Partners, a New York–based private equity firm, acquired Robertshaw. One Rock specializes in growing middle-market companies in North America through operational and strategic excellence, and it is focused on acquisitions in the chemical, specialty manufacturing, food, auto, retail and business service sectors.
