Patagonia has retained Hanold Associates to lead the search for their Senior Director of Health, Wellness & Benefits. Hanold Associates’ Maisha Pearson, Ashley Schiele and Meg McElroy will lead the Ventura, California-based search.
Originally focused on climbing gear, Patagonia has since expanded into apparel and accessories for a range of outdoor sports and activities, including ski/snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking and more. Beyond apparel and accessories, in 1985, Patagonia created the 1% for the Planet initiative and has since donated $89 million to environmental efforts. With over 100 retail stores in the US, Europe and Asia plus specialty retailers, catalogs and their self-owned website and stores – Patagonia continues to be an industry leader in responsible consumerism.
As Patagonia continues to grow, the organization is hiring a Senior Director, Health, Wellness & Benefits to provide strategic direction and oversight of the company’s health and welfare programs, benefits and absence management and play a key role in HR operations. Reporting to Shannon Ellis, Head of North America People and Culture + Global Ops, this leader will also lead and develop a team of twelve.
