Patagonia Retains Hanold Associates for Head of Total Rewards Search

Patagonia

Patagonia has retained Hanold Associates for its Head of Total Rewards search. Hanold Associates’ Kile Hanold and Adam Watson will lead the search.

Originally focused on climbing gear, Patagonia has since expanded into apparel and accessories for a range of outdoor sports and activities, including ski/snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking and more. Beyond apparel and accessories, in 1985, Patagonia created the 1% for the Planet initiative and has since donated $89 million to environmental efforts. Headquartered in Ventura, California, Patagonia has more than 100 retail stores in the US, Europe and Asia and sells their products through specialty retailers, catalogs, or its self-owned website and stores. Patagonia is in business to save our home planet and utilizes all available resources to help alleviate environmental issues around the world.

As Patagonia continues to grow, the organization is hiring a Head of Total Rewards to align HR functions and policies to support its employees. This leader will lead Patagonia’s total rewards function, partnering closely with senior leaders and team members to expand its compensation and benefits philosophy. With the recent transfer of Patagonia’s ownership to an environmental trust, linking total rewards to Patagonia’s purpose and values will become more important than ever before.
