Patagonia Appoints Head of People & Culture, Reno from Search by Hanold Associates

Patagonia, a high-performance outdoor apparel and accessories brand, has appointed Lisa Ramirez as head of People & Culture, Reno. Hanold Associates’ Lisa Butkus, Sandra Pena and Meg Magurany led this search based in Reno, NV.

Originally focused on climbing gear, Patagonia has since expanded into apparel and accessories for a range of outdoor sports and activities, including ski/snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking and more. Beyond apparel and accessories, Patagonia sells food under its Patagonia Provisions brand, which addresses environmental issues within the food supply chain. Headquartered in Ventura, California, Patagonia has more than 100 retail stores in the US, Europe and Asia and sells their products through specialty retailers, catalogs, or its self-owned website and stores. Lisa previously served as a Senior Regional Human Resource Manager at Amazon, leading an HR team that supported 25,000+ employees across a region of distribution centers. As Head of People & Culture, Lisa will serve as a member of Patagonia’s leadership team in Reno and lead the HR function for that site, developing the HR structure and Reno campus culture as the business grows. In this role, Lisa will create people policies that meet the needs of the business and implement programs for leadership development and career planning. She will also be a key partner and advocate for their anti-racism and justice work.
