Lightmatter Appoints Head of People from Search by Hanold Associates

Lightmatter, the photonic (super) computing company, has appointed Beth Keil as Head of People. Hanold Associates’ Ashley Schiele, Mayank Parikh and Eleanor Tetreault led the search for this role based in Boston.

Beth previously served as a Vice President of People at Aternity. Joining Lightmatter as their first Head of People, she will report to the CEO and cofounder Nick Harris work closely with the leadership team on scaling the company. In this role, Beth will focus on building and advancing the current people strategy while ensuring the company culture remains consistent as the company continues its growth.

Lightmatter is a photonic computer company, redefining what computers and human beings are capable of. The company’s new processor and interconnect use photons instead of electrons, making them faster, more efficient and cooler than anything previously created. These advancements will build the engines that will power discoveries and drive progress in a more sustainable way. Founded and headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, the company is also opening an additional office in California’s Bay area to be closer to top tech talent. Lightmatter has grown to more than 70 employees, raising more than $113 million in funding from backers like Google Ventures, Matrix Partners and Spark Capital.
