Johnsonville

Johnsonville, the #1 National Sausage Brand in the United States, has appointed Alex Castillo as Head of Human Resources. Hanold Associates’ Jordan Blackmon, Hans Henson and Meg McElroy led the search.

As Head of HR, Alex will attract, develop, and retain top talent to meet current and future business needs while maintaining a member-centric culture. Reporting to CEO Nick Meriggioli, Alex will lead a team of ~40 across the organization and serve as a member of Johnsonville’s Strategy Team, guiding the long-term vision and strategy of the company. Prior to joining Johnsonville, Alex served as Chief People Officer at F&G.

Johnsonville offers more than 70 different types of sausages, available across all 50 states and in more than 45 countries worldwide, including China, the Philippines, Singapore, Korea, Japan, Mexico and Canada. Headquartered in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the company has expanded globally yet remaining privately owned by the Stayer family. The company has over 3,000 members, including ~2,000 in the U.S. and ~1,000 internationally and was ranked in the top 25 by Forbes in 2022 as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers.
