Hanold Associates recruited Jennifer Almodovar as the Head of Human Resources for Magid Glove & Safety. Katie Wolf and Karlis Antons led the search for the role located at their headquarters in Romeoville, Illinois.

Magid is a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as work gloves and safety clothing. Their Romeoville, Illinois, headquarters houses a 700,000 square-foot state-of-the art manufacturing and distribution operation as well as an open office layout. Magid also has facilities in the Philippines and Mexico.

Founded in 1946, Magid is now a fourth-generation, family-owned company with over 1,200 employees worldwide and continued strong growth. They rank 166th on Crain Chicago’s privately held company list. Magid is currently installing the largest solar panel array in the Midwest, which demonstrates their forward-thinking mindset and willingness to invest in the future.

Ms. Almodovar will report to the CEO and be a key member of Magid’s executive leadership team, participating in developing and executing strategic growth initiatives for Magid, particularly from the perspective of the impact on personnel. She will partner with the CEO and senior leaders to provide consultative HR support, align business needs to drive the HR strategy and determine how to best use their talent-base to achieve Magid’s business objectives.

Ms. Almodovar will lead a team of eight and be accountable for all HR activities and ensure they are achieving results aligned with Magid’s larger picture and strategic goals. She will design and implement the longer-term vision, mission and brand of HR for the organization.
