Hanold Associates recruited Lainie Cooney as Chief Human Resources Officer for Blue Apron.

Blue Apron is an ingredient-and-recipe meal kit service that provides a weekly box of ingredients for home preparation. Since their foundation in 2012, they’ve built three fulfillment centers across the United States with their headquarters in New York City. Expanding on and complementing their meal kit service, Blue Apron expanded into home cooking supplies and a vertically integrated winery.

Ms. Cooney will report directly to Chief Executive Officer, Matt Salzberg, as well as partner with teams in all aspects of talent acquisition. As Chief HR Officer, Ms. Cooney is responsible for developing, implementing and aligning all HR functions with the business objectives. She will also be a cultural ambassador and responsible for championing and evolving an already strong and vibrant culture that’s characterized by a passion for its mission, strong work ethic, high energy, entrepreneurship and business acumen.

Ms. Cooney was most recently the Chief Human Resources Officer for DPI Specialty Foods in Ontario, California.
