Hanold Associates Recruits AVP Human Resources for CNA

CNA

Hanold Associates recruited Kim Sandifer as the Assistant Vice President Human Resources for CNA. Ashley Schiele and Katie Traines led the search for the role located at CNA’s global headquarters in Chicago.

From its beginnings over 100 years ago to its position of leadership in the insurance industry today, CNA continues to build on a long, proud tradition of service, growth, financial strength and stability. In addition to their broad appetite for business risks, the company focuses on construction, manufacturing, technology, healthcare, professional services, financial institutions and small business. The breadth of their product portfolio enables CNA to provide customized insurance solutions that anticipate and address their customers’ risks. They are the 8th largest U.S. commercial lines insurer with 2017 revenues of $9.5 billion.

CNA’s services help their customers better understand their risks, reduce loss costs, restore their operations and increase productivity. The company’s Risk Control specialists were the first in the industry to be awarded the UL Recognized Risk Engineer professional designation.

As AVP, Human Resources, Ms. Sandifer will report into an SVP of Human Resources, deliver human capital solutions that impact business results and serve as a catalyst for culture change by leveraging enterprise-wide vantage points to ensure barriers are removed and successes are adopted across the company.

Leading a team of three to four human resource business partners, Ms. Sandifer will support CNA’s IT and Operations functions and partner with SVP Joseph Merten and his leadership team as the technology function embarks upon a large digital transformation.

“Kim is a fantastic business-focused HR leader who will be a great addition to the CNA team. Her deep knowledge of the insurance industry, strong leadership and thoughtful approach make her an exceptional fit to partner with CNA’s field organization,” said Ashley Schiele, a partner at Hanold Associates who co-led the search with Katie Traines.
