Christopher House Read-A-Thon Welcomes Rockstar Readers!

Hanold Associates participated in Christopher House’s March Read-A-Thon to support reading and efforts to provide books to classrooms. Hanold team members donated books and two team members spent time reading to preschoolers at the Uptown campus.

Keri Gavin and Carol Blankenship (pictured) volunteered as Rockstar Readers participating in Christopher House’s annual event to highlight the importance of reading and encourage donations of new books to their classrooms.

Reading opens up our imagination, exposes us to the unknown, builds our vocabulary, and sparks creativity.

Founded in 1906, Christopher House is a family of schools providing education and resources to low-income children and their families. Over the years, they have evolved to continue to meet the needs of Chicago’s low-income population while providing a continuum of education for students birth through high school. They also provide tools and resources to support parents in building and maintaining stable, self-sufficient families.

Christopher House operates centers on the North and West Sides of Chicago.
